Any time the sun comes out in Portland, I begin to fantasize about summer nights and outdoor dining. These photo post-cards from the Mark Spencer Hotel website pretty much complete my fantasy. The lanterns, the flowers, the wooden deck chairs...sigh.
The Mark Spencer Hotel was originally known as The Nortonia Hotel. Built in 1907, is was the “home-away-from-home” for artists. Above, images of the Roof Garden and Tea Room, 1914.
